The Home Festival at Kangaroo Point, Brisbane invited the collective to exhibit in their festival in 2011. We decided we would create a quilt with the theme of home – each of us created 3 squares and then Porsha sewed the whole thing together. As you could expect from a diverse group of creatives, there were many different interpretations of home and what we ‘hearted’ about it.

To involve people (mainly the little people) on the day, we provided materials to create their own quilt squares which we joined together throughout the day on the adjacent wall to our quilt. As our unexpected second event (after realising we loved exhibiting and wanted to do it regularly) it was great exposure and a lovely way to interact with the community.
